works for most benchmarks though.Īnd well i have a 24/7 undervolt, which is secretly an overclock, 2010mhz 930mv compared to stock ~1950mhz 1.081v shooting etc feels also pretty good (i mostly just use bow though)Īnd yup that's my experience as well, 2040mhz is just too much, most games will crash eventually. like there is basically no replayability whatsoever (except for the DLC i guess), but one full playthrough is just a great experience, the levels are great, etc, the thing is the pacing is really good, it just keeps going and you kinda wanna see "whats next". ROTTR is actually one of my all time favs. ROTTR is actually the better game, i havent played much of SOTTR yet, but its pretty obvious. Control with TR and later CP2077 were the same. The difference was +117(2040mhz) for most games and +110(2010mhz) for SOTTR. It was based on SOTTR since it crashed before my other games did. I only had a 24/7 overclock with the 2080 tis. I will get ROTTR the next time it is on sale. Ps: oh and yeah, the ROTTR "stability test" is realistic, because if it crashes in TR it'll crash in other demanding games too, like MHW, with the same error usually (d3d device lost or something) (tested with several gpus, its always the same behavior basically)īut of course, especially the actual benchmark is good for performance testing, i usually use Superposition for that though, it seems quicker and more convenient with different settings etc.īut yeah, SOTR might be even better / more demanding perhaps. i found out a lot of benchmarks wont crash with a slightly unstable overclock or undervolt, ROTTR will, not immediately but after 10 minutes or so, plus it will show instabilities even earlier, for example the fire ammo for the bow will just not show the "fire", things like that. I do the same with ROTTR, but more for stabiliy testing. So at 1080p and 1440p with the highest settings this is how it has gone. I did Fire Strike and Times Spy benches but the results are too abstract to have much meaning to me. In 2018 when it came out I was still using a GTX 1080 ti in one of my gaming computers with an Intel 6 core. I did not like it and did not finish it but just about every hardware reviewer uses it as a bench so it is good for comparisons. I just started playing it about a week ago and so far Rise of the Tomb Raider is definitely better (in almost every aspect) imo. The SotTR folder is 35.1GB large with everything installed. I have the definitive edition from Steam.
